Absolutely not a scam. This company is an up and coming powerhouse. I’m fortunate to have partnered with them, they are the real deal.

  • HUMAN is A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THEY ARE SELLING MACHINES THAT COST $2,000.00, YES ONLY 2,000

    FOR $11,000.00

WAIT TILL YOU TRY TO SELL THEM, YOUR A SUCKER THAN. NOBODDY WANTS THEM.

AND I HOPE YOU DON’T HAVE A LIFE, BECAUSE YOUR A SLAVE TO THE MACHINES THEY OWN YOU, YOU DON’T OWN THEM!!

  • Brain – I do not understand how you can tell us that the machines cost $2,000 each. Do you have personnal knowledge or are you just guessing? Please back up your attack with real facts.
By you saying “your a slave to the machines” must mean that they are constantly being used. Sounds good to me.

  • AVT makes the vending machines for Human; the machines if you were going to get one custom to your business it would cost you around $7520.00. So Human is making a profit on each machine $3480.00. That is the quote I received for the last year on 2/21/11.

  • The real scam is the junk-food they put in the machines. My hospital just installed one in an ill-fated attempt to vend “healthier” snacks. It contains three different kinds of “all natural” full-sugar soda. These sodas have the same sugar content as Coke and Pepsi, being “all natural” is irrelevant, sugar is sugar. The machine also contains Kellogg’s Nutri-grain bars, 32% sugar by weight with more sugar and corn syrup than fruit, and don’t forget Red 40 and Blue 1. What about the Cliff bar in the machine, 35% sugar. This company is even worse than Coke and Pepsi, at least those guys don’t put up the pretense of being healthy, H.U.M.A.N. is actively playing on the ignorance of its franchisees and its consumers in the name of profit.

  • I’ve gotten to know HUMAN Healthy Vending over the past month and delved into every document and financial statement available. The information “unhappyfranchisee” has provided is false or maybe should be taken more literally as you wrote it. The organization is legitimate and the fact that an employee was working for a company that has issues does not reflect whatsoever on HUMAN. I recommend you eliminate this post and if this site was at all viable, I would offer an apology. It’s ashamed you have to degrade a wonderful group of hardworking people that are doing more for the community and world to try and get a leg up, not going to happen here.

  • Come on people, just another scam. I have been in the vending business for over 25 years. Only 20% of your poduct can be healthy. People want junk foo. Get over it. Why spend 10k on a machine when i can buy a refurbished one for 2k. It still dispenses and looks pretty. They also want you to pay to go to their locator school. But you still have to find your own locations. Good luck in your bizop adventure.

  • Mr. Kochel:

Thanks for your comments. Here are some replies:

“I’ve gotten to know HUMAN Healthy Vending over the past month and delved into every document and financial statement available.”

We delved into several documents and were concerned with what we found. We believe there were misrepresentations regarding required disclosures of the background of management, Financial Performance Representations that are unsubstantiated and in violation of franchise regulations, and misleading representations regarding entire franchisee profit centers – such as advertising revenue – which we’ve been told do not exist.

Our expertise is in franchising and business opportunities and we see numerous red flags. Of course, this is our opinion and you are free to invest as you see fit.

“The information ‘unhappyfranchisee’ has provided is false….”

Please be specific about what information you believe to be false.

“… the fact that an employee was working for a company that has issues does not reflect whatsoever on HUMAN.”

Bill Wotochek not only worked for two companies that turned out to be scams, but he was PRESIDENT of Revive Franchising, Inc. Importantly, HUMAN Healthy Vending did not disclose this in the franchise disclosure documents as it is legally required to do. The fact that HUMAN intentionally withheld legally required information from franchise prospects does, IMHO, reflect on HUMAN or it’s CEO (who signed an affadavit to its accuracy and completeness).

“I recommend you eliminate this post and if this site was at all viable, I would offer an apology.”

Mr. Kochel: You have not disclosed your relationship with the company. Are you investing your own money in a HUMAN franchise, or are you simply encouraging others to invest theirs?

If you are investing in a HUMAN franchise, please come back in about a year. We’ll have a better idea at that point who owes whom an apology.

    Deal?

Human is a complete scam. The owner has been scamming people for years. The machines cost $2k. Scam scam scam. Call any legitamate vending company in the country and ask how much they will buy the vending machines for.

  • previous investor

Scam, Scam, Scam. Don’t do it. The machines can be bought for about $6k each. Through HUMAN, you are going to pay about double that. Some of the operators are successful, most are not. Also, too much work for the return. The Jofemar machines are very much pieces of Sh*t. They break all too often. HUMAN not much help. Included in the 12k price that I quoted is the location fee, where they locate the machines for you. What a huge scam! I had 1 machine doing about 2 vends per day, another about 4 vends per day…….. and so on. What a waste of money. Also, when they locate all machines, they are done. No more help whatsoever. Scam, Scam, Scam !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I appreciate being able to read the posts here. I have been looking for a business/franchise opportunity and have funds to invest, but have been turned away from these niche vending operators in the past, for one simple reason:

These folks are in the business of selling machines, as well evidenced by the markup they charge. If the product sold carried a high profit margin (snacks don’t), then with sufficient numbers of machines and right locations it might be doable.

Every time in the past when I have crunched the numbers, the machine cost all but destroys any reasonable return on investment and convinces me to just leave my money in an investment account with an 8-9% average return. Maybe h.u.m.a.n. can beat these odds, but I seriously doubt it. There IS money made here – – just not with the franchisees.

  • This is a total pyramid and muti level marketing scam for its investors it has been from the beginning. It is some kid trying to capitalize on the health craze america is going through so he uses human as a sufferance not to smart. I give this company 5 more years max. HUMAN Healthy Vending Scam: Why the Complaints are TRUE. Everything negative is TRUE. The machines are poorly made with cheap parts. The electronics are substandard. Who inspected this machines ?. I know for a fact, it was not UNDERWRITERS LABORATORIES. Sean Kelly and his whole staff do not know about HARDWARE or SOFTWARE. They lied about the PROFIT MARGIN and BRAINWASHED people with LIEING pitches. All, I know please do not make the same mistake , I made. People talk about location, location. If you have a good location, but the machines are garbage, then you have nothing. All know, if you invest with HUMAN , you are investing in a NIGHTMARE.

  • Has anyone pursued legal action??

  • Huge Mistake. Just throw your money in fire pit. It is far less frustrating. HUMAN will take your money and you will never hear from them again. Worst company ever. Liars, Cheaters and thieves.
