According to the Small Business Administration, CiCi’s Pizza franchisees received 223 SBA-guaranteed loans since 2001; 32% of those loans have been defaulted on by CiCi’s Pizza franchise owners.
According to Entrepreneur magazine, the CiCi’s Pizza franchise chain has shrunk from 613 US franchises in 2008 to 553 CiCi’s franchises in 2012… a decline of 60 franchises, 10% of the CiCi’s Pizza chain.

Despite the franchise failures in the CiCi’s Pizza franchise program, CiCi’s Pizza continues to aggressively solicit franchisees on its website.
What the CiCi’s Pizza franchise marketing page doesn’t disclose is that it’s likely that CiCi’s Pizza franchise owners who received SBA loans may have collateralized their franchise loan with their houses or other personal assets, and nearly one-third were unable to repay those franchise loans… despite serious incentive to do so.

It’s not the franchisee. It’s the greed and over powering dictatorship of the owners of CiCi’s. Their whole goal is to make as much as possible as fast as possible then dump the chain to another investor. The have destroyed numerous families with one or two restaurants. Very low life organization.
I am a current CiCi’s Franchisee with multiple stores in multiple markets and I would strongly discourage anyone else from making the same mistake I did by getting involved with this brand.
There is no end in sight to their multi year sales and unit count decline. Senior Management lacks the talent to guide the brand back to profitability and in many instances has outright contempt for the Franchisees.
I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you should you be considering buying a Franchise.
Went to cicis in The Colony (tx), while paying started up conversation with the cashier Jordin i believe because the both of us looked familar to each other, she proceeds to tell me shes 17 so i dont know her, fast foward, i go back up there a little later to ask for ranch & couldnt see her. so i looked arround & there she is behind a hall or the oven not sure, holding hands & kissing on the manager… normally wouldnt bug about this but she did tell me her age…. little inappropriate. didnt say anything & didnt get my sauce.

Just left this restaurant with the feeling of needing a shower–the floors had residue from the mop from the night before –tables were sticky,–black soul music was so loud that you couldn’t hear the folks across the table.– 2 tv’s was loud with cartoons , drunk folks walking from table to table bothering customers talking loudly about her relationship with men in grand detail which was totally uncalled for. The food was ok. I’d give it a 3 out of 5 ⭐️Salad bar only had a few choices nothing was labeled and the glass face guard was flithly — did not bother going to the restroom if the restaurant was going to be this dirty. Only seen 2 girls working. One at the register and 1 making pizzas. Both black. So that’s where the music choices was coming from. I assume Thank you for reading your comments. I feel this restaurant will have to improve before I return. Or stay the same and continue to go down hill and attract this kind of customers ?
Poor customer service experience never received call back promised several times within a month span, employees refuse to get a manager on the phone. Had problems with getting the code after completing the survey online following all instructions. I still have the receipt and called customer service which was some guy in Canada who says we will call you back which I new he was lying so I asked for a manager who happens to be not “there”. Waiting a week with no response I called corporate who answered this is human resources and transferred me to an answering machine to which another week went by with no call back as promised. Yesterday I called and the agent refused to get a manager was playing around said there are no managers only Supervisor which he refused to put on the phone.
