Postal center franchises that appear on the WORST FRANCHISES list include AIM Mail Centers (44%), Postal Connections (35%), PostNet (30%), Postal Annex+ (30%) and Pak Mail (28%).

PostalAnnex+ franchise owners have an alarming 30% SBA default rate.
The apparent drop in PostalAnnex+ franchises in recent years is also a cause for concern.

The inability to repay an SBA-backed loan (or any franchise loan, for that matter) indicates a serious situation for the franchisee.
It’s likely that PostalAnnex+ franchise owners who received SBA loans may have collateralized their franchise loan with their homes or other personal assets, and many were unable to repay those franchise loans… despite the serious incentive to do so.

I bought a franchise in 2006 and havent taken much in pay in 6 years. My main gripe is location. While I had the final say on where my store went, I would think that the POstal Annex rep who visited my area, as the expert, should have known that my location might not be best. while it is a spot that they would allow a franchise, it is probably at low end of range. I have very little knowledge of what is a good spot or not. They do.
Not a good franchise UPS store better option. Postal Annex will only work out west.
I did bookkeeping for 5 Postal Annex’s in San Diego CA for almost 3 years.
I know these franchises are (NOT) even breaking even, they could not pay there employees. THREE Payroll companies cancelled service, due to RETURNED PAYROLL CHECKS, AMEX and WESTERN Union sued and WON $40,000 & $30,000 against the Franchisee I worked for, the Property Management Company had to file a ROA (Register of Actions) with the San Diego Courts to get the Rent paid after several months.
He would run his & his wife’s credit cards as a sale for a print job to make the Sales reports look like there was profit and leave off Payroll, all the account payable’s & pay his highest paid Graphic designer in CASH. Then use the money he got from his own card to pay the Vendors that had his accounts on hold.
I can go on and on, , except I already WASTED enough time being harassed and getting sick from the financial stress.
Good job Annex Brands!! your “Franchisee of the Year” will be at the pond shop selling the cheap plaque you awarded him soon.
They charge up to 2/3 more than FedEx
And twice as much ad post office, there scam artist who ruined my eBay business!
I would stay far away from this franchise in general. And there very rude,no answer on why is the price so much higher?
I bought two franchises from Postal Annex , they presented the opportunity , they told me that the break even point was in one year so I planned to acquire 5 stores in five years.
They told me to talk with other franchises to ask about their experiences.
After five years and loosing everything , my home included, I find out they misrepresented the numbers, the franchises I spoke to were part of the company and they had special reduce fees to do this job. Almost 10 franchises on the east coast file for bankruptcy at the same time I did.
Shame on this opportunity…
we are thinking to apply for postal annex franchisee while doing my homework , we got counted this website as we don’t really don’t trust on any franchisee ,we don’t know how true this webpage is ! we have read comments on top please some one suggest how do we do content on this webpage says don’t ever do it, but i think we need to deal real facts.
any suggestion please post on it.

Stear clear of Kelly Daffer though. She’s a mean old hag who will eat your donuts if given the chance (it shows).
Postal Annex Franchise is one of worst package store model. They not provide comparative shipping rate. No support from headquarter. Worst of worst and arrogant CFO as well. Stay away.
