Beware of Rawman Walking aka Morg Morgan
He now calls himself Rawman Walking. The Rawman. Or Bobby. But hundreds of people who wish they had never met him know him as 
Robert Chrysler Morgan, or “Morg” Morgan, infamous founder of Medina Enterprises and Cuppy’s Coffee.
If you are going to deal with Bobby “The Rawman” Morgan, you would be wise to read this post and the comments that follow, and to proceed with extreme caution. If you know Rawman Morg Morgan, please share your thoughts below.

Rawman Walking is now hawking women-only raw food seminars at a supposed retreat called The Sanctuary at a cost of $1500 – $14,000 for 3-28 day courses. He is also promoting a business opportunity that enables attendees to give their own seminars. The real strategy may be to use these seminars to solicit investment in the Sanctuary Expansion as mentioned by Ben Doyle. We don’t know.
But we know that there are many reasons to be wary of this man:
1) Insurance Fraud Rawman Walking, aka Robert Chrysler Morgan, was allegedly* featured in a book on notorious conmen in America, Master’s of Deception. On page 139, the author states: “…insurance agent Robert Chrysler Morgan was forced to pay $134,000 and surrender his license for defrauding thousands of customers.” If you Google “Robert Chrysler Morgan” you can read the excerpt of Mizell’s book.
2) Slender Lady Franchise & Lawsuit. Along with his friend Bruce Sharpe, Rawman Morg Morgan was an owner of the Slender Lady women’s fitness chain. His Slender Lady franchise company was successfully sued by its failing franchisees for fraud & deceptive practices. Almost every franchise closed; dozens of franchisees lost their savings, homes and were forced into bankruptcy. Sharpe fled to South America, assumedly to avoid paying his victims.
3) Java Jo’z Deposit Scheme. Rawman Walking (Robert “Morg” Morgan), Ben Doyle and convicted felon Roy Snowden sold business opportunities for a drive-thru coffee concept called Java Jo’z. They convinced dozens of trusting individuals (including the brother of A-List blogger Robert Scoble, ) to make deposits of tens of thousands of dollars which they promised to refund if the investors couldn’t get financing or find a location. When the individuals returned for their deposits, Rawman & his cronies refused to return their money. After Roy Snowden went to prison for fraud, Rawman “bought the assets” & repackaged the Java Jo’z scam as Cuppy’s Coffee. Read more about Rawman Walking Robert Morgan at Cuppy’s Coffee Overview.
4) Cuppy’s Coffee deposit scheme. Using several different corporate entities, Rawman refined and 
expanded the lucrative practice of convincing individuals to give large “refundable” deposits (typically $30K – $60K) for development of Cuppy’s Coffee businesses, then refusing to refund them as contractually agreed. Rawman’s companies collected hundreds of thousands, possibly millions, in deposits from individuals and provided nothing in return. Rawman, in essence, paid for his Jaguar and beachfront condo with the savings and retirement accounts of hardworking individuals and families who got nothing in return but heartache, aggravation and legal bills. 5) Medina Enterprises/Cuppy’s Coffee/Elite Construction deposit scheme. Unfortunately, those who could not raise the $200K – $400K to for the full Cuppy’s Coffee development program were the lucky ones. It’s estimated that as much as $29 million was raised via SBA loans and other sources – typically secured with individual franchisees’ homes and/or retirement accounts. However, Rawman’s companies collected money on these loans for work that was never done, done incorrectly or done so late franchisees had to begin repaying loans on empty lots. Many never got open. Others did, incurred more debt and closed. Cuppy’s Coffee franchisees never received the support services they paid for. Rawman Walking Morg Morgan walked away, selling (dumping) the embattled company and its franchisees before it collapsed completely. 6) Rawman Lawsuits. San Gelato Cafe is suing Rawman for deceptive business practices. Outstanding Case Number 2008 CA 004819 S SAN GELATO CAFE FRANCHISING GROUP LLC v. ROBERT C MORGAN;
7) Domestic Violence Charges. In 2008, Rawman was charged with domestic battery stemming from an alleged altercation with his stepson. 8 ) Rawman is Married. Rawman has been married for years to Peggy Morgan, the woman who took care of him when he had cancer. Yet, according to his website, “Bobby, spends most of the year at the Sanctuary in Florida… mentoring women who need a loving, gentle nonjudgmental approach to weigh loss…” He professes:
“I have exchanged an endless potpourri of sexual encounters, for… wholesome beautiful friendships with women where true affection abounds … I have vowed to my creator and too myself that I will remain in this state [celibacy] until I can love with a pure heart, to come to my loves arms as an equal not a conqueror…”
While he is engaging in beautiful, loving friendships with women, and awaiting the arms of his true love, he is still legally married to wife Peggy.
9) Multiple Aliases. On his 2 websites and active Twitter accounts, Robert Chrysler Morgan makes almost no reference to his real name or recent nickname “Morg.” He is now “Bobby,” “Rawman,” or “Rawman Walking.” His new age Rawman persona seems to be carefully crafted to be friendly, sensitive, open and, especially, non-threatening to needy, health-conscious women.
10) No Men or Children Allowed. Rawman states: “The Sanctuary is a women’s only retreat no men or children are allowed to stay in guest rooms or attend classes or events. Please do not ask as we do not make exceptions…” Why is that? Seems ironic that his only supposed success story is buddy Ben Doyle (aka @RawmanLivin). Says Rawman: “Just finished helping a 67 year old rejuvinate his life lost 37lbs 34 days got a new girlfriend lol.”
11) Ben Doyle. While Rawman is charming and well-liked even by some he’s wronged, his partner Ben Doyle is not. Fiercely negative comments regarding Ben Doyle have appeared on this website and others from those who claim to be have been his co-workers, employees and scam victims. When these two work together, bad things seem to follow.
12) “The Sanctuary” & Investment Schemes. Rawman claims he operates a raw food retreat called “The Sanctuary” on Florida’s Perdido Key. But there is no reference to such a place anywhere except his websites, and the phone number appears to be registered to a cell phone. It seems more likely that they are simply renting condos or rooms as needed. If so, why would they be “seeking investors” for the “Sanctuary Expansion” as was tweeted by Ben and Rawman Walking?

Did he or didn’t he have cancer? He told me he had a very aggressive form of esophageal cancer which I really am doubting considering everything else he told me was a big lie. If he didn’t, then Peggy was part of the scam too. Too bad she is being cut off from this one but I guess Morg doesn’t benefit from her this time.

Morg did have throat cancer in 2004 and Peggy never left his side. She is a good lady and he didn’t do right by her. He has been a cheater since I first met him in San Antonio, Tx and I was glad to hear, for her sake, that SHE LEFT HIM about a year ago.
He told me in May of 2007 he had throat cancer. Throat cancer and esophageal cancer are different. My 37 yr. old nephew just died from esophageal cancer. When we were at Coffee College in April 2008, he was supposedly getting ready to have some more radiation per his daughter Summer who worked in the real estate dept. So, I don’t know if he really had cancer or not….
You would think that a person who was given a second chance as Morg Morgan was would want to leave an honest legacy… but he never stopped scamming. He kept taking people’s deposits and instead of putting them in escrow simply spent them so they weren’t available when he was legally obligated to pay them back. His company Elite kept taking loan disbursements for work that wasn’t done and equipment that wasn’t delivered.
You would think that given a second chance he would have treated the women in his life with caring and respect. Before the next women falls for his schmoozing I hope they read his celibacy article and consider what it says his regard for his first wife and his current wife.

I tweeted Alissa Cohen who told me she has no idea who Morg and Ben are and that hundred of people take her classes and then certify others. She needs to get control of her brand and franchise her system, I know of the perfect people to do that for her.

It would be interesting to hear what Peggy has to say about all of this. It’s too easy for her to keep quiet when those who paid her bills for years need answers. She doesn’t have to do it here, she can tell it to the FBI.
OMG, Cuppy’s failed because of Sean Kelly, not because of Morg. I have had it wrong the entire time. I have been pursuing the guys I sent $200,000, the guys who produced false invoices to me and the bank, the guys who fed me and everyone else a bunch of lies. Silly me. WOW!!! After reading “Bobby’s” article titled “Thoughts on the American dream”, I just want to say everything is okay now. As I sit here reading and eating my carrots, I feel HORRIBLE that “Bobby” has had it so rough in the business world. As I have recently been served by TD Bank (Commerce Bank) for my loan default and am going through bankruptcy, “Bobby” makes it all okay. My bad “Bobby”, not yours.
And now we know who the enemy REALLY is….Sean Kelly. In the back of my mind I always felt “Bobby” was working really hard for us Java Joz/Cuppy’s folks. Luckily, someone must have grabbed a copy and will post some or all of it.

He claims on his site that becoming certified will lead to wealth and prosperity (OK, not verbatim) but Alissa’s people need to take a cut to handle expenses:
“Many of our certified level two living on live food Instructors derive a very nice income after receiving this certification because of the opportunity to teach the Living on Live Food (level one) course. You will be listed as an Instructor in ours and Alissa’s database and both of us will send people your way who are looking for the Living on Live Food Chef certification course (level 1). Your level 2 certification will allow you to instruct individuals and groups based on the Living on Live Food approach. You will be teaching from a core curriculum. You will not have to handle paperwork as Alissa’s office will mail all certificates to each student in your class. Alissa requires 20 percent of the money earned from these classes for paperwork and certifications, email and phone referrals and original copies of the core curriculum and any handouts.”
Does Alissa’s business really operate this way or was in fact the 20% going to Morg and Ben? He certainly makes it seem as if he works with Alissa: “You will be listed as an Instructor in ours and Alissa’s database and both of us will send people your way”. Is this a pyramid scheme in the making as well?
You guys are really a mess. Does it do you a world of good to bash people? I heard what was going on with Twitter and the DM msgs and this site. Get a life. Maybe this happened to all of you for a reason. Maybe to humble yourself and teach you to do your homework before buying a lottery ticket. Did you lose in the stock market too? Is this your very first loss ever? If you can’t take a risk and lose don’t gamble! Grow up and move on.
Being defrauded is nothing like losing in the stock market or buying a losing lottery ticket. We are trying to keep even more people falling for these guys. Then there were people who had loan funds disbursed to Morg’s Elite Manufacturing but they didn’t do the work and they didn’t pay their subcontractors. That’s not gambling. That’s theft.
Since you sound like a bold investor, why don’t you invest in Morg’s “sanctuary expansion.”? We promise not to say I told you so.

The unofficial Bobby Morgan guide to running a coffee shop:
1. Outfit shop with typical coffee shop equipment. Don’t actually pay for the equipment. Keep stringing your vendors along as long as possible.
2. When you have a customer, be as sweet as a trailmix latte. Smile a lot. Tell them they’ll love their drink. Take customer’s money, say $3 for a latte, $4.50 for a mocha. Tell them they are lucky they came in today because the price is going up tomorrow.
3. Turn around so your back is to the customer and distract yourself, or start waiting on another customer. Whatever you do, pretend they didn’t just order a drink. Or make fake steam wand noises so they think you are making their drink.
4. When the customer asks, “Where’s my drink? I just gave you $3 for a latte.”, say to them, “Are you kidding me? I have a business to run, baristas to pay, daycare for them even. Do you think this espresso machine is free? I’m still learning how to make lattes. My drink subcontractor is in a meeting with my consultant.”
5. Repeat as needed until you get a bad reputation. Then blame someone else, Sean Kelly if you like.

But when you check your credit card receipt, he really charged you $5.25 and has his trashy customer service person with the big boobs handle it. So she tells you “Strawman says we’ll take it off the back end. Next time you only owe us $4.50 because the price is going up on Friday.”
I want to say a few words on Summer’s behalf, and not just because she called me a douche (which, I am told, is a fond term of endearment in French).
I hand it to her for mixing it up on Facebook and holding her ground. If Alicia yelled at me like that I’d run away like a little girl. A little vegan girl. Being chased by Mayor McCheese.
I also give her credit for joining the discussion using her own identity. Other weaselly little employees tried to sabotage conversations anonymously and hurl insults. At least she had the guts to use her own name and picture.
She’s a young Mom that Rawman helped out and that was probably her first job. And Morg is a first-class schmoozer… even the non-family member employees – and franchisees – believed in his altruistic rap. And I think HE believed it, to an extent. While I don’t doubt he lived high on the hog (that was pre-vegan), much of the money was burned up on crazy overhead, paying too many employees, providing daycare, etc. when a more effective scammer would have been socking it ALL away.
I hope she’ll stick around, listen to what people are trying to tell her, get educated and stop drinking the wheatgrass koolaid. And hopefully by the time she has to do a deposition she will speak freely and cooperatively.

Personal attacks – especially on those not directly to blame – might be cathartic, but are counterproductive.
Rawman Walking is smoothing out his message and refining his next pitch. Every day his blog has been revised and made a little more credible. He revised his celibacy manifesto, then deleted it (The American Dream is back). IMHO, it won’t be long before he and Ben Doyle will be offering needy type 2 diabetic divorcees a chance to invest in the expansion of the non-existent “Sanctuary” or some other fantasy.

Update 8/24/09 – I know Sean Kelley & the Unhappyfranchisee bloggers will dissect this post and post the pieces and parts they wants on his site and across the Internet. I do understand their anger and frustration and their need to express their hurt. I know there is pain and suffering from losses incurred by many. I also know it is personal and each of us has days when we to want to scream out our anger and for some talking about it on the Internet helps to get through the pain.
I have chosen not to answer the slanderous allegation on Sean Kelley’s site. I learned long ago that you can not resolve a persons’ anger until they decide they no longer want to be angry. I have chosen a road of forgiveness toward those, who in ignorance and self service, use the Internet to prompt others to express their personal and financial pain. My family, friends and myself have been subjected to the half truths, lies and slander which has been propagated across websites owned by Sean Kelly and his business partners, both formal and informal. So to deal with such intentional hateful actions I must choose one of two road, one road is hate and the other is love. I have chosen to forgiving those who have hurt me and I choose to love. As part of my forgiving them, yes even Sean Kelly, I also ask for forgiveness for not being a better businessman and for not taking better care of myself physically, so that I would have been healthier and not have become too exhausted to handle all the operations of the businesses. I apologize for selling the business to a person I thought could be trusted and one who could do a better job than myself. I apologize to the franchisees who have suffered losing so much of their lives. I apologize to the 100+ employees who poured out their hearts, and were left without jobs. I apologize to the investors who lost their investments. If I had the means to help each of those who lost while under my direction and ownership I would do everything I could without a second thought. I too lost just as each of you.
Know that I have written this for you, my family, my friends, readers and those who have lost so much and are suffering. And as I have said before it was not my intention to take from, hurt, or cause undue pain to anyone in my life. And for what every offense known and unknown I apologize. May each of you find peace.

Morg DOES have kids & grandkids who love him. Just as it should be. Family members don’t have to like what each other does in order to love each other.
So Morg screwed up. Morg is a self-centered womaniizing thief. Why does that give you a right to bash his family? Who are you? Who are all you people taunting this family?

I have sympathy for Morg’s family. After all, they’re Morg’s family… isn’t that punishment enough?
Anyone who read that celibacy article has to feel for his ex-wives. He talked about his first wife having slept with a bunch of men before they were married. He talked about searching for his next lover while he’s still married to his second wife. He admitted to constant adulterous affairs.
Imagine reading your father or stepfather spewing out all this crap, completely self-absorbed.
To top it all off he probably makes them all eat whatever crap he eats that turned him orange.
The franchisees may be able to earn back their money, but these poor people will be stuck with having to deal with this delusional egomaniac forever.

ADMIN, thanks for reposting and update to the blog. What’s your reading on this: “I apologize to the investors who lost their investments.” Is he refering to the zees? That explains a lot on Morg’s view of the world. Morg: zees aren’t investors, we are customers. We signed a purchase agreement for our shops. We didn’t lose an investment in Elite, we paid for something and got nothing.

SumSum81 should remember that cd & Feisty (NOT stepdad Morg) paid for her rent, car payments, groceries & pocket money for a couple of years. I’d suggest she thank them for that, not curse them. She also might want to put her energy into supporting her Mom rather than the guy who publicly states that he repeatedly cheated on her & who writes about the next woman he’s going to take in his arms… while he’s still married.
She also should remember that by glorifying her Dad she might be setting up the next victims of whatever investment scheme he’s cooking up.

Somebody, somewhere is swallowing this nonsense.
Sounds to me like there were a lot of people who took a chance with money they could truly not afford to lose and by not doing their homework and being true business minded people they failed and want someone to blame. I guess we all learn the hard way. But if you can’t afford to gamble then you should not have played the game. If everyone took their life savings and invested in a business that was guaranteed to be successful the economy would not be where it is now. How many unemployed people are screaming, yelling and defaming their bosses for not being more business minded to prepare for hard economic times. Sounds to me that a lot of you need to get off the Internet and get a job and do something worthwhile with your time rather than wallow in your sorrows and losses. Rawmanwalking hit bottom and he isn’t quitting; good, bad or indifferent you gotta take responsibility, learn from poor decisions and focus on moving forward because looking back only holds you back. If investments were a sure thing I would be a zillionaire…oh my…so would you and you and you and you. But I guess everyone who opens a business and asks for investments is successful…..right? I think you should quit bashing Rawmanwalking and his family and get yourselves out of the gutter and move on. For a man to fail, admit his shortcomings both personal and professionally ask for forgiveness and still get back up on the horse shows determination and passion (I already know how this one gets reposted). I hope he makes it and I think with his knowledge, failures, losses and experiences that this time he just may make it happen and I wish him the most success possible. Sounds to me like you don’t have your facts straight.
Many many individuals trusted Morg Morgan with sizeable deposits and had legal agreements saying their money was just being held & would be returned if they didn’t get financing &/or a suitable site. Instead of setting the money aside as contractually obligated, the money was spent and the people told they were out of luck.
Individuals like Robyn & Cory Rivera were neither careless nor “gamblers” – they were robbed of their $30,000 life savings.
“We first sent them a cashier’s check for $5,000. We then visited their operation and facility, and delivered an additional $25,000 for a total downpayment of $30,000. This was downpayment was to be returned to us if we did not obtain financing or find a suitable site… I asked for the deposit back and was told to request it in writing (which I did) and here we are today with no money… Our dealings were with Robert Morgan from the beginning and all the way through… How can they get away with this? How do they sleep at night?”
