BIZZIBIZ Suing Mr. Franchise Kevin B Murphy and Franchise Foundations PC

(UnhappyFranchisee.com)  Talk about a bizzy new franchise!  BizziBiz Franchise, Inc., officially launched its franchise opportunity on January 1, 2011.

BizziBiz Franchise, Inc., officially launched its first lawsuit April 29, 2011.

Buzz. Buzz. Buzz.

The Bizzibiz model is new and unproven:  Franchise owners sell digital marketing services to small and medium-sized businesses and BizziBiz fulfills those services for their customers.

To gain credibility for this brand new venture, Bizzibiz touted its relationship with veteran franchise attorney Kevin B. Murphy.

An endorsement from Kevin B. Murphy was prominent in the initial press release of the Bizzibiz franchise launch:

Franchise Industry Expert and Franchise Attorney from San Francisco, Kevin B. Murphy, known in the industry as Mr. Franchise, has reviewed over 500 franchise companies and has personally owned and operated a very successful franchise.

He says “a BizziBiz franchise offers the hottest franchise opportunity I’ve seen in my 30 years in the industry.”

The Bizzibiz Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) filed with California in December, 2010 lists Kevin B. Murphy as “Director of Franchising and Board Member”

According to the press release, “BizziBiz is on track to empower entrepreneurs and small businesses everywhere. Currently BizziBiz is registered to sell franchises in eight of the 14 states requiring franchise registration, with applications pending in the rest. It anticipates becoming registered in the balance of those states within 30 days. Concurrent with its domestic U.S. expansion efforts, BizziBiz is also looking to expand in international markets.”

What happened? How did Mr. Franchise go from Cheerleader to Defendant in 4 Months?

Buzz. Buzz. Buzz.  Bizzibiz doesn’t waste time.  Despite the “experimental,” unproven nature of its concept, it was ready for international expansion from Day One.

Buzz. Buzz. Buzz.  It somehow (supposedly) got a franchise attorney to publicly state that it’s “hottest franchise opportunity” he’s ever seen (have you ever heard an attorney make such a statement?).

And Buzz Buzz Buzz in just four months Bizzibiz is suing said attorney for Legal Malpractice?

How long do you think it will take before BizziBiz buzzes away completely?

This is just the tip of the iceberg with Piccolo. He had Don LaPre as a listed VP with Bizzibiz at one point. LaPre has just been indicted on 41 counts of fraud for previous business dealings selling vitamin products and has since been removed from the Bizzibiz website. There are also lawsuits that have been filed by previous Nouveau Riche leaders for amounts in excess of $350,000.

Also, the investors from his original technology company by the name of iWizard were duped after Piccolo walked away from investors that put in $500,000 to launch the business. They were offered securities with the promise of taking the company public and filed the required SEC SB2 documents but withdrew the filing after raising the $500,000. After 7 years, he announced he was divesting his holdings in iWizard and Nouveau Riche to launch Bizzbiz without any obligation to take care of the initial investors.

Do we see a pattern here? Could be a great investigative story for Azcentral and possibly much bigger media outlets!

  • These folks have been driving me crazy.
New franchisees from all over the US have been emailing and calling me.

    Why? No idea.

I’ve already told their corporate office to leave me the hell alone, and to take my name off of their spam lists.

Unproven? Heck, by the time they figure out what social media is, it will be called something else!

  • Sorry, Joel. We submitted your name as a franchise lead. Now you’re in the UnhappyFranchisee.com downline!
    (Just kidding. Really)
We all need to put out a serious warning about this franchise “opportunity” Have you read about the previous opportunity:

Combining all the worst qualities of a bad franchise with the obnoxiousness of multilevel marketing. Brilliant.

  • Tomorrows post links to this site, my friend.

These guys aren’t even pretending (at least very well) to actively use social media.
