CONTOURS EXPRESS is a terrible losing franchise. I have owned two other non related successful franchises, so this was not a new thing for me. I closed my location and still am paying off debt for it. They lied straight out to me and other owners. When approached, the exec’s at head office considered us troublemakers in trying to save our franchises. Out of 6 of us from the same region in canada who met with head office to deal with our losing franchises, only one is still standing. Do not attempt any dealings with this franchise as they have lied in the past and they don’t give one damn if you end up losing everything and close. They just move onto other countries with their lies and hide under their different ‘corporate’ ownership in the u.s. so that suing them is difficult. I hope they go down and soon before they ruin anyone elses life and savings.
I am from Australia and the same thing happening here. They keep selling more and more even though 6 a month just shut their doors and walk away.
I am left with a huge debt but at least stopped the drain of $4000 a month from my bank account to keep it operating.
People need to be made aware but if you look them up they are very smart at keeping bad reports away from the internet. People in Australia are loosing their homes because of this shocking franchise which is only out to make maximum cash before moving onto another venture.
IF YOU ARE A CURRENT OWNER, LOSING MONIES. CLOSE YOUR DOORS AND TAKE YOUR LOSSES EARLY. THE LESS MONIES PUT IN, THE BETTER OFF YOU WILL BE. I GAVE AWAY MY STORE TO AN EMPLOYEE BECAUSE I COULDNT AFFORD THE BLEED ANYMORE. SHE RECIEVED THE STORE FREE, NO MONIES AT ALL. BRAND NEW LOCATION, ONLY 4 YEARS OLD. SHE CLOSED AFTER LEASE WAS UP IN A YEAR BECAUSE SHE WAS NOW IN DEBT AND COULDNT EVEN BREAK EVEN , AND THATS WITH GETTING IT FOR FREE. I AM JUST FINISHING PAYING OFF THE DEBT AFTER GIVING IT AWAY TWO YEARS AGO. IT IS A AWFUL TERRIBLE LYING FRANCHISE, DONT BUY ONE. IN CANADA WE HAD 25 STUDIOS WHEN I BOUGHT, NOW I THINK TWO OR THREE ARE STILL OPEN IN ALL OF CANADA, AND WE HAVEN’T EVEN BEEN HIT BY THE RECESSION AS THE AMERICANS HAVE. I WISH THAT THEY WILL HAVE TO CLOSE HEAD OFFICE SO NO ONE ELSES LIVES/DREAMS ARE DESTROYED. GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL STILL IN IT, BUT LEARN FROM SOMEONE WHO LOST 250,000 OVER FOUR YEARS, GET OUT NOW.
