DONUTNV Franchise Owners Thomas & Rachelle Hughes Not Disclosed
DonutNV franchise owners, franchise locations and ownership transfers are normally included in a franchisor’s Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) as required. However, finding important and disclosures in the DonutNV FDD is often requires unravelling mysteries, double-checking outside sources, and investing an inordinate amount of detective work and effort. Another Missing Disclosure: Clermont, FL Franchisees Thomas & Rachelle Hughes
Rachelle Hughes and her husband Thomas apparently bought the Clermont, FL brick & mortar location as a franchise in December 2023, and closed some time in 2024.
Previously, Rachelle Hughes was a DonutNV corporate employee (a trainer).
The LinkedIn profile for Rachelle’s husband Thomas D. Hughes states that he became a DonutNV franchisee in December, 2023.
A video posted by Rachelle Hughes on social media shows her and Thomas unlocking the door to the Clermont and presenting it with a flourish, seemingly as their new business.
The Florida Department of State Division of Corporations records reveal that their LLC was registered 12/27/2023 and dissolved 09/27/2024:

Yet the 2024 DonutNV Franchise Disclosure Document (issued April 31, 2024 and amended November, 2024) does not disclose a transfer of the Clermont franchise to the Hughes and does not mention Rachelle and Thomas D. Hughes as franchisees.
Both the 2023 and 2024 FDDs list the Clermont franchise owner as:

The DonutNV FDD amended June, 2022 states:
There are two DonutNV “brick-and-mortar” stores (in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, in Clermont, Florida).
However, we are not currently offering franchises to operate as a “brick-and mortar” fixed retail business.
However, that same FDD only lists one company owned location (in Pennsylvania) and does not disclose ownership of the Clermont DonutNV or relationship to the company.
Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs) are meant to be straightforward disclosures of fact.
Why so many discrepancies and seeming omissions?
The DonutNV franchisor is invited to shed light on why the 612 Cagan View Rd, Clermont, FL location was not disclosed as a company store, nor that it was transferred twice to franchisees Nenad Markovic, Rachelle and Thomas D. Hughes and perhaps others. We assume this franchise closure will be disclosed in the new FDD.
