DonutNV Franchise: Where is President Scott Gingold?

In 2024, nearly all of the DonutNV staff turned over, including its celebrated President Scott Gingold.  As support member after support member was fired or quit, franchisees say there was little-to-no explanation or communication from Alex or Amanda Gingold.  The sudden departure of President Scott Gingold – who is Alex’s father and Amanda’s father-in-law – remains a deep, dark secret.  Though rumors abound…  by Sean Kelly

What happened to Scott Gingold?

Where is Brittany Smith?  Aifton Coleman?

Why was Kent Durham let go?

Where is Rachelle Hughes?

And Cameron Knight?

DonutNV franchisees signed up on the promise of dedicated support by a committed, experienced staff.

Many early franchisees were told the DonutNV support team was headed by world-class business consultant named Scott Gingold.

DonutNV President Scott Gingold, they were told, had built several successful businesses and was a coach to many others.

Scott was also the father of co-founder, CEO Alex Gingold and father-in-law of co-founder, COO Amanda Gingold.

And then Scott Gingold was gone.

Some heard that he was put in charge of their Keystone Trailers operation.

Then there was no mention of him again.

No memo.  No explanation.  Just rumor and innuendo.

In November, 2024 DonutNV filed an amended FDD that purged Scott Gingold as a member of the management team.

DonutNV Thanked Their Dedicated Support Team… Then Fired Them?

On December 20, 2023 DonutNV posted a photo on its Facebook page, stating

“Tonight the DonutNV corporate team came together to celebrate the holidays and a year of much success.

In 2023, DonutNV opened more than 90 new locations across the US, now more than 130 franchises strong.

Thank you to our franchise partners for their continued commitment to the brand and for the team that supports on both the front lines and behind the scenes.  Let’s go 2024!”

By the following summer, most of those in the happy holiday picture would be gone from DonutNV, unable to share their experiences due to NDAs.

Franchisees received little to no notice nor explanation of their departures.

They included:

  • Victoria V., Scott Gingold’s Assistant, did not attend the dinner and was not pictured.  She later resigned.
  • Brittany Smith, Marketing Director, left in June, 2024 after 1 year and 7 months*
  • Scott Gingold was terminated (or resigned) sometime during this period
  • Kent Durham, VP of Operations, left Donut NV in July, 2024 after 2 years*
  • Aifton Coleman, Marketing Manager, left in July, 2024 after one year and one month*
  • Rachelle Hughes had been a trainer & onboarding specialist.  She became the franchisee of the brick & mortar DonutNV in Clermont, FL with her husband, Thomas “Dexter” Hughes.  The Clermont store closed in 2024 and she left the system.
  • Cameron Knight, Finance Administrator, also reportedly left during this time.
