UnhappyFranchisee.Com Praised for Fair & Open Franchise Discussions

UnhappyFranchisee.Com has a simple approach.  We encourage both sides of (often) controversial franchise issues to present their views so our better-informed readers  can make up their own minds.

Our initial posts about a given subject or company generally start with a franchisee complaint, or a reference to a negative news story.

We post the information or opinion, and invite public discussion and debate.

We have a standing policy of providing franchisors (or others being discussed) the opportunity to provide rebuttals, clarifications, explanations or differing opinions to what’s been presented.

Companies and individuals discussed on UnhappyFranchisee.Com have the option of participating in the comment sections that accompany each post, providing a statement or letter for freestanding publication, or both.  We try to publish rebuttals and clarifications with the same prominence as the original criticism.

We often notify and invite the companies discussed to respond to our posts.  We also encourage them to have their employees, franchisees, customers and associates share their views.

With prospective franchisees often risking their and their family’s financial well-being, savings, retirement accounts, credit ratings and, often, family home, we are fierce advocates of transparency and open, honest discussion of franchise opportunities.

“Thanks for encouraging BOTH sides to express their opinions!”

“I think your heart is in the right place with this site. Obviously you want to get to the truth about the issues “  doesitreallymatterwho

“Thanks for creating this site as a way for people on BOTH sides of the argument to voice their opinions.”  Forgotten Man

“This site is very fair to those who wish to defend franchising.”  Todd A. Peterson

“I thank you for your efforts on behalf of prospective franchisees, we use your site to help guide us on what we need to fix / alter / do better with our system – you are providing some great free consulting, for prospective franchisees and franchisors!”  Charles Watson, Tropical Smoothie Cafe

”thank you for being a great moderator, and having this site.”  Another Curver

“I’ve changed my mind on the viability of this website, and I’ll now thank you for starting it. This is the best site for potential distributors to view.”  Kevin (a happy distributor, & defender of his chain)

“Thanks to the Admin of this site. Your efforts and contributions are highly appreciated.”  Ben Played

“It would be very helpful for prospective franchise buyers to be able to hear both sides of the story but they often can’t. Finding nothing negative about CertaPro online was one of the contributors to my decision to buy the franchise. Silly me. BTW, that was before UnhappyFranchisee.com… so I’m glad this site now exists.”  Tom
