I need to hear from someone asap about a location at 7380 191 st street Tinley Park , IL 60487 very disappointed with the way a situation was handled there.
The reason you wont find many GNC complaints online is because when you take Corporate to court the settlement includes an agreement not to post negative things about them. Trust me, get a GNC franchise and you’ll find out quickly that GNC is not on your side. Starting with the opening order where you get a bunch of products and flavors of products you wont sell. Until the secrete shoppers and surprise inspections they’re not on your side. Corporate is full of people who have NEVER owned a store and these are the people who are telling you how to run one…
The best franchise management team was let go 1-3 years ago. Now it is a rag-tag group of DFOs working locally without a national focus. They are all over the place. I have multiple stores and 2 DFOs and each has their own way of running things the GNC way, which is to say all over the board. When there was a real franchise company run by people with franchise knowledge, things were actually handled. Now, the VP of franchise has no clue, has no power, has no direction, and has no franchise experience. He is there by title only. Bring back the old franchise department and team. I refuse to buy any more GNC locations, and have since diversified my portfolio of franchise stores.
