• Matcoman you just have to remember one of the keys to success is being better than your competition. Give your customers a reason to come in your store and NOT your competitors. Separate your self from your competition, ice chest with pop, who cares if it’s winter, super bowl promo, I planning on either doing a couple 32 in tv’s or a 55 inch. I always do it, no purchase necessary, come out get a ticket, but the more you purchase or pay the more tickets you get.

  Sorry I wasn’t able to type on here all day (like you). I was running a tool route. I can’t take three weeks off at the end of the year. Might be hard on the business.

And just to make you sound a little stupider (if that’s even possible) my employee is the most successful plus truck in Matco’s history. Top 30 this year, for the 4th time. So yeah, I’m screwing him. Just ask him- he just hates his job! And yes, I’m making money off of someone else. it’s called being a business owner, and having an employee. I suppose you have a problem with that?

Kevin and Aaron Bergman franchise owner and employee. There is one hell of a tax right off. It’s not illegal and I say kudo’s to you for and your brother but don’t get on here and throw OBC taill in my face I wasn’t sitting on two routes. Matco surveyed that area and gave me and LOC. Why would Matco give me such a crappy route if there were more shops to be had on it? I never went on another surveyed area to get shops with the exception of what I helped Gerald Hodges establish at the request of my DM (Robert Tolbert)

• Robert Tolbert was your DM? I went to DM training with him, great knowledge of OTC, but I heard he flaked out and dissappeared for a month or so and nobody knew where he was, no contact with any dm’s, rm’s or Matco

  There is nothing in that article that says my brother works for me. I don’t think idiot was a strong enough label for you. Aaron works for himself, and is very successful. Try reading the article again slowly. So what’s the joke? And why would that be “one hell of a tax right off”? “right off”? What’s that?

  You complained about having 50 grand in tools when I offered to help you out you just ignored me, so either you like having a collection of tools or you are lying about it.

  Thanks, but I give Chris the credit. He’s a very hard worker, and just loves selling tools. As a bonus, he has no desire to own his own route. He’s been with me for 7 years, and I sure hope he stays. I pay him very well, so that shouldn’t be an issue.

  Imagine that you are a DM and you just created a #1 District in only I think it was 4 or 5 years and you got fired right after Expo by a new Regional Manager named Tim Novak. Why would you get fired? It’s not likely that he just quit doing his job. I know Robert and he worked hard. He also had the best meetings I have been to including Regional Meetings.

I am glad that you are sharing with others on what it takes to be in the top of Matco Distributors should Matco let some new prospect thats looking at becoming a franchise distributor decide he is fixing to get a route but if he wants to be in with Big Dogs of Matco he needs two routes to make it happen. So he will need two trucks , two inventory’s, two computers, etc instead of one to be successful like Kevin Bergman. Not just one route like he was told by Matco!

Since, new distributors will have to compete with his purchase average of having two routes to buy tools for. You see Kevin can order the bare minimum for one franchise and roll the other into his purchases on his truck inflating his purchase average to make him a top distributor for Matco. I hope you now understand the truth of how to be a successful distributor in Kevins eyes. I imagine you have done plenty of new franchise distributor rides haven’t you Kevin? How many? Fifty? Hundred?

• Both Bergman’s were in the top 50 at Cancun and Vegas I think. I know at every Expo I have heard their name. Just like I heard Bud Cook. Like I said I know what kind of route he is sitting on I can just imagine what these other guys have. Aaron Bergman is probably on hear as an alias name as well. He probably doesn’t leave his name.

• Todd, you just keep digging your hole deeper, and confirming your lack of intelligence. How would I “cherry pick” between two routes? I own 2 franchises- they are what they are. I was in business for 14 years before I added the second truck. It doesn’t take two trucks to be successful- it just takes HARD WORK.

  “You see”, I order for each franchise what each franchise sells. Separate franchises, separate inventories, separate distributor numbers, separate purchase average. If you had a clue what you were talking about, you wouldn’t have to make everything up.

  By the way, I haven’t had a potential distributor ride with me since my brother started 12 years ago.

  I just can’t wait to see what other lies you come up with, but hurry up, I have a TOOL ROUTE to run in the morning.

• Todd, You are beating a dead horse arguing with these guys. They only care about their “cherry picked” routes. The good news is the word is out on the Matco tools scam. Several people have decided not to fall for their shady backroom deals.

  Most people only read 800-1000 comments (if they make it that far). Only the “hardcore gamers” make it this far. Most realize they have seen enough and decide to keep their finances intact.

  Look for mid January……………I have it on good authority the wheels will definitely be in motion by then.
