  When as a d.m., if my d.m asked or instructed, then I did it.

  Did you return the cd, that matco made about snapon? Then you listened to your boss.

  My d.m instructed us to charge 10% over list, to cover expenses, it was his instructions. He works for matco right. I THOUGHT SO.

  YOU WORK FOR MATCO ALSO. YOU ARE AN EMPLOYEE, VIOLATE THE FRANCHISE AGREEMENT AND WATCH WHAT HAPPENS, THATS WHAT I THOUGHT.

• Tommy just because a dbr leaves, doesnt mean he failed, doesn’t mean he lost everything, some people aren’t cut out to be dbr’s or some after becoming one dint like it….

• DOWN ECONOMY , POVERISHED TERRITORIES, MINIMIUM HEAD COUNTS, SMALL ROUTES WITH NO ROOM TO GROW, AND DISTRICT AND REGIONAL MANAGERS WHO LIE AND MISLEAD, I LISTENED TO THEM ALSO, THEY FAILED TO TELL US , THAT ALL THIS WAS POSSIBLE.

  THEY ALSO FAILED TO TELL US, THAT THEY GIVE SELECTIVE TERRITORIES
  TO THE ONES THEY CHOSE, AND THEY FILLED THE OTHER AREAS WITH TEMPORARY FRANCHISES, KNOWING THAT THEY WONT LAST AS PREVIOUS DISTRIBUTORS HAVE PROVEN THAT.

• We had a top 200 guy retire and the next guy didn’t last but now the currant guy back in the top 200.

  Tommy if you were the DM what would you make of that?

• Look Matco2 Not all are born to sale tools. But, if someone has a pulse and good credit with a Entreprenuer Spirit as Tim Gilmore and other Advertising Ad’s proclaim MATCO will grant a franchise cause they will make $$$$$$$.

  Matco continually over states their Distributor’s success and Support because once you sign that lopsided contract your SCREWED!!!

  How do you sell a box of poop! Spray some deoderant on it! Maybe some WD40 to make it shine! Give it a fancy name like Matco #1 rated Franchise by ENTREPRENUER MAGIZINE.

• Take for example several Veteran Ads Matco has recently put on the Internet to attract Veterans.

  Matco is a very smart advertising savy company who recognizes that there are many churned Distributors out there at this time.

  Many Veterans, who have been serving in this long war against Iraq, will return from the Gulf and need a career or job.

  Serving overseas these soldiers are unaware of the Lies, Fraud and False Documents that have led to False Terminations that Matco has instituted while they served their Country as I did from 06/88 to 05/91.

• You have to compare apples to apples, and I can assure you matco has changed the route, stops,etc.

  It possible the guy who did not last , may not have had a customer service background or didn’t hit all of his stops, could be various reasons, I am not going to sit here and call him a failure, because I don’t know the circumstances.

  The defenders do not know why everyone is here. We were screwed in one way or another by matco and we are not going to stand for it. We people did not fail, matco failed us.

  Now in this case he came to Matco looking to be a tool guy.

  Right on, Todd.

  A great paid-for falsehood by the for-profit franchise propaganda machine that Matco perpetuates is that Matco Tools is the #1 franchise for veterans.

  One might think that that would mean that Matco provides the best record of success for veterans of the U.S. armed services.

  OR that U.S. Veterans who became franchisees and either succeeded or failed voted that Matco is the best franchise for vets.

  NOT SO!

  In actuality, it only means that Matco franchise sales people used the VetFran program to convinced more veterans to buy into what CNN called the riskiest investment in terms of SBA loans.

  As far as I know, Vetfran does not track the success or failure rate of the veterans buying franchises through their program. There’s no data to suggest that vets buying the Matco franchise have any better than the Matco 37% SBA default rate.

  Imagine surviving snipers, roadside bombs and IEDs only to be churned and burned by some phony opportunistic flag-waving franchise sellers.

  Yeah, the OBCs are some patriots, all right, to sell our own country’s heroes into this farce.

  But what do you expect. MATCO#0 sold his own father in, after all.

• the ones that have been wronged speak from experience as the ones that call us failures and all only have a positive experience with matco.
  i remember in feb 08 that i was the most important person to matco, now im nobody and i played by their rules.
  no one to help get rid of all the old inventory unless they can steal it from you so as to increase thier own profit again, no matter who that might be. it sort of reminds me of a pack of dogs. when one goes down the others attack and kill him. you have very few friends here unless they can use you to make a dollar for them. some of the better dbrs would not help so as just in case you might do better than them one day.
  i have been around people all my life and have met people from all walks of life. the ones here that are supposed to help you will not.
  early in 2011 my dm met with me as i was losing 250 customers from cutbacks on the military base here. he brought his young son with him so it was difficult to talk business. he told me that there was nothing that he could do but give me a copy of my monitor report. hell i could do that myself, so dont tell me that all dms will help you. they will help you right out of business.
  there were alot of lies told to me and all these other people here. the ones doing all the boasting only care about one thing and thats your wallet. if matco would do the right thing we wouldnt be here right now. let me take all your money and screw up your credit and see if that just pisses you off. i think it would.
  the ones here that were wronged are only asking it to be made right and matco chooses to ignore us. thats going to end soon.

I just sell tools and collect money smiling the entire time thinking how Tommy failed and I don’t want to be like tommy

  that was my last response to matco and we havent spoke since. anything that i have said on here is no secret. i have all the proof that i need to back up my accusations. you dont see me debating them here and that is not what this site is about. its for people that have been wronged to share their experiences. then there are some who wish to try to disprove some action that they were no part of.
  all of it can be done in a nicer way than one person trying to prove how wrong the other one is. facts are facts. i dont know all the facts and rules but i am learning fast. i was always taught that you will learn more quicker with your mouth shut and your ears open and you cant listen if your mouth is talking. those are both true.
  all parties here would get so much more out of it if we kept it in an adult type atmosphere and respected each other. just because we may not like someone or their comments doers not mean that we need to attack them. we can just leave it alone. after awhile they will get the hint.
  im not going to sit here and say that i did everything right because i didnt know all the rules. i spent 20 years in the military. that and civilian life are different. in the military you trust the guy in front of or behind you. in the civilian world it is different. everyone is using everyone else to get ahead. i trusted matco and they let me down after they took all that i had and left me to clean up the mess that they helped get me into. this is not all just me.
  you have been in the business a long time. do you know that the 1 year warranty on your air tools starts when you buy them. thats a fact and i have the papers to prove that. i learned it the hard way. i was told in class about it and my rm and dm said i was wrong , im not.
  if someone sent you the starter inventory you would laugh and send it back. half of it is outdated and they just want to get it off of their shelves and you cant send it back.
  i was told anything that you buy during the meetings could be sent back, buy it , ride it around , if it dont sell then send it back for 100%, wrong, some things you cant send back at all. you dont experience these things, new people do. all your money gets tied up in inventory that you cant move. the beginning of the end.
  life is different in some areas. there are valid complaints that need to be addressed not just ignored.

  Matco #1 (Jason) after watching that Alec Baldwin thing on You-Tube for the 700 th time went out and sold 17 6328 tool boxes today. Because of that Matco asked him to speak at the National business confrence. His reply…. not unless they take the water coolers away that are in the rear of the room. Water is for closers.

Front of 800 distributors and said WE need to move Matco forward YOU fellow distributors need to send leads to YOUR DM and let’s get MATCO to the 2000 mark with distributors. No other dbr in the history of expos has spoke on stage ONLY YOU!

  Didn’t sell a box today, sold a bunch of tools, had my torque DVD going with the 4x number one guy on it showing off new tools, Wolfe must brought some of that mojo to my truck.
