PosiGrip:  A total scam & Ripoff?

For the past several years, commenters on Ripoff Report have been complaining that PosiGrip is a scam.  Here’s the latest from Thomas:

Posigrip is indeed a total ripoff! Nothing else!

I bought a dealership about 1 year ago! First of all it’s not a Franchise!!!! It’s just a dealership you purchase, you don’t even get a Territory!! The product works fine and is easy to apply. The problem is the company itself!

It’s just a “whole in the wall” in Daytona FL, 2 rooms and a small warehouse. The training you get takes 30Minutes! I should have canceled my check and run the moment I saw it…well I didn’t…my mistake!

Now to the facts: it’s extremely difficult to sell the stuff!

There is ABSOLUTELY NO support from Posigrip!

The advertisement they promise never happens! They don’t attend any trade shows as they promise you! I never got any lead from them, there are NO corporate accounts as they promise. In the whole 12 month the only times they did contact me was for money. They offer a free display for expo, which you’ll get…the display is a piece of sh… it cost you more shipping than yopur own one would cost you.

They don’t even send you an email about new products, what’s going on in the market or whatever!

The post cards, introductions, or whatever they offer you….just forget about it – to much work, to much cost – not working at all!!

There are other companies in the market with the same product. If you think that business is for you, talk to them, but stay away from posigrip! It’s a very big ripoff!

Any questions or complaints or ideas or if you think I’m wrong or if you have any helping ideas!!

ARE YOU FAMILIAR WITH THE POSIGRIP OPERATOR OPPORTUNITY?  IS IT A PROFITABLE BUSINESS… OR A SCAM?  SHARE A COMMENT BELOW.

  • Posigrip does work. That is the only truth in this article!
The service is EXTREMELY difficult to sell! All they offer as help is either a joke or does not work! By the way, the moment you paid your fee, they don’t contact you anymore, there is no help, no support, no leads…NOTHING!!!
    IT IS A BIG RIPOFF!
Franchise – hahahahaha – you are not even allowed to use the posigrip name!!!
another lie is, that it is by far the best product out there! make your homework and you’ll find better products with a way better support for their business partners! Posigrip is in a little warehouse, 2 room office, 3 people all together! A little hole in the wall!!

  • If Posigrip is sold as a license and not a franchise, they probably forbid you from using the name as a way to keep from tripping franchise laws. If you do not use a common name, it’s not, technically, a franchise. Therefore, they do not have to meet franchise disclosure requirements, registration and filing requirements, etc.

OK, Folks here is what I found and you can follow this same trail.

I start with Posigrip and see the A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and found that in 26 years since the corporation started they have never had a single complaint. Not 1 complaint and so could that be true nobody is that good right?

They have 2000 operators around the planet and none of them are complaining. At least all the things I read that were negative were from characters and on these type of bogus sites. I thought why wouldnt people go to the BBB to complain and why would they complain on some random website?a I found out that its easier to take a shot at a big company from a blog if your a small competitor and hide behind a fake name.
I found that Posigrip has close to 200 original patented products and major contracts with all the large companies in the world. All of them. I talked to an associate in their offices and asked him about the competition and this guy says “if McDonalds wants to do 35,000 stores do you think for a minute they would ever call the slipdoctors and his 8 people”? Which is 4 less I noticed than he had 2 months ago when I started my investigation.

He went on to say” If you think that any of these cheap shots against this global leader in slip resistant technology are real, then maybe you really dont deserve to own a business because Posigrip is the real deal, original”.
    I have to tell you
There is nobody that has spent more research on this subject than I.
Posigrip-The real and Genuine article like they say INNOVATIVE. PERIOD.

I looked into Posigrip slipdoctors.com and sure step probably more than anyone on the internet and what I found were little innuendos just like this one that usually end by saying something like “so I went to slip doctors and they were friendly” etc. etc. -OR- “slipdoctors.com did a beautiful job on my restaurant floor”

So I inquired with slip doctors about this incredible loyalty. I asked why their customers were blogging on a competitors website and why it was usually Posigrip. I wondered what would compel a customer to be so thrilled about slip resistance, and I asked slip doctors if they knew who these loyal customers were. They hung up on me.
I didn’t give up there, so I checked a little more and found out that the photos on the slip doctor website say Rocky Miller and Greg Cohen the slipdoctors.com owners. As it turns out there is an ad for a used car dealer in the same town that has a photo of Greg Cohen who is much younger, shorter thinner and very Jewish. Nothing wrong there except why is he hiding. What is this little guy ashamed of or is he trying to give us a warm fuzzy with the 2 older guys in the photo who since this writing are distributors they now say.
You know what I say. I SAY BEWARE! THAT’S WHAT I SAY.

So then I went and looked up Sure Step in Canada and found that they claim to be a chemical company in Canada and I followed the address to the location with Google, zoomed in and got the name of the building, called the property manager and found out he has never heard of them, and he has been there for 4 years, besides he says this is an office building and zoning would arrest him if he were there making chemicals. So I figure this company is hiding something or they wouldn’t lie about such trivial things.

IN THE END I FIND THE FOLLOWING:
POSIGRIP the original and leader by a country mile.

    Slipdoctors.com BEWARE

SURE STEP Troubling to say the least.

  • Big Daddy:
I usually try to stay out of the conversations, but I’ll make an exception in your case. I don’t know if you are in fact a PosiGrip shill accidentally making Posigrip look underhanded, or a clever Posigrip detractor doing the same. Anyway, let me address some of your points:

“I start with Posigrip and see the A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau…”
In my experience, BBB ratings are meaningless, and those who tout them should be viewed with suspicion. Read elsewhere on this site about Revive Energy Mints which just scammed 400 people out of $6M. Their company, Sito Marketing, has disconnected phone lines and fled… and currently has a B+ Rating. American Vending Systems BBB review says “BBB knows of no significant government actions involving American Vending Systems.” Last year The USDOJ prosecuted the principals for defrauding more than 900 out of millions and they are sitting in Federal Prison. No one told the BBB.

“They have 2000 operators around the planet and none of them are complaining.”
The subject of the post is the high number of complaints posted on Ripoff Report and elsewhere.

The dealer above is complaining. You haven’t addressed one of the complaints that he makes:

    – No territory
    – HQ is a hole in the wall w/ 2 rooms and a small warehouse (Global leader?)
    – 30 minutes of training
    – Extremely difficult to sell
    – No support from corporate
    – Do not do promised advertising
    – No trade show support
    – No corporate accounts, as promised
    – No contact except to ask for money
    – Substandard trade show display
    – Lack of corporate communication, new products
    – Labor intensive, ineffective marketing

“As it turns out there is an ad for a used car dealer in the same town that has a photo of Greg Cohen who is much younger, shorter thinner and very Jewish. Nothing wrong there except why is he hiding.”
This doesn’t even come close to making sense. Greg Cohen is younger, shorter, thinner and more Jewish in one picture than another? Your point? And despite publishing his picture in at least 2 places, he’s hiding? I think there’s an anti-semitic slur in there somewhere, but the whole thing is so incoherent I can’t be sure.

Big Daddy, you actually make me feel a little sorry for PosiGrip. With advocates like you, who needs detractors?

  • Bi Daddy

    Wow,
    You signed in under ADMIN,
Are you the owner of this site? That is weird, I thought this was a complaint forum and not a one company bashing forum.
I must say that after years as an investigator your tone puts you at the scene of the crime, maybe not enough yet to convict but still very much a suspect.

I would and I’m sure the good people at Posigrip would like to know why you feel it important to malign your competitor with untruths. Cant SlipDoctors try to compete with their products?

I investigated the above reference that you reprinted and maybe you should have also. You would have noticed that he left his email address for anyone to contact him. Well all you have to do is Google the address and you would have found that this scumbag likes to write about having sex with animals. Look for the Dog Lover heading. Have you ever thought that the company also might have known this. I would be afraid to send him into a home that had pets and I hope that you would too.

You can also Google the offices and they are quite nice and appear to be quite large as a manufacturing plant would be. If they have that many franchises, then I’m sure your getting more than a half hour training because they are many and they are important to many companies that use this sort of thing.

Then there were 5 other reports that are obviously bogus because they were written at the same time within hours of each other under different names and they were about the Scotland and the Canadian distributors not Posigrip.

You are an angry person, don’t feel sorry for me, I’m doing just fine, but lets see now, how well equipped you are able fend off the reports in the same places you mention, except maybe this time they are real former slipdoctor operators that you might have refunded or…. worse been forced to refund.

Your better off keeping your pen in your pocket my friend, luckily these guys haven’t dug in and decided to do the same to you. Frankly they sound a heck of a lot smarter, while your sitting up at night worrying about why your business is failing and posting falsehoods, they’re making history.

  • ADMIN

    “Bi Daddy”:
Only the administrator of the site can post as ADMIN, and the site administrator has no connection to Posigrip and had never even heard of SlipDoctors until your comment.
We’ll often publish a post containing some of a given company’s marketing claims and, in contrast, some of the complaints levelled against them. Then we invite discussion. We don’t say the complaints are true and we don’t care to investigate the sexual preferences, human or canine, of the original commenters. We invite the companies to debunk or disprove the complaints if they wish. In this case, PosiGrip said they’d rather not join the discussion, which is, of course, their right.
Our motto here is attack the argument, not the arguer. If you think PosiGrip has a great dealer program that provides a wonderful opportunity, please share why you feel that way. If you feel that the SlipDoctors program is a bad investment, please share the facts or experiences that led you to that conclusion.
If you have information that can help prospective dealers make informed decisions regarding the different non-slip dealer programs, please share it. It would be best to address the issues raised rather than attacking whatever commenter raised them.

  • Bee Careful

All I can say is that you will receive no support other than the occasional email to bid on a project many miles away. The training is extremely weak to say the least so be prepared to work extremely hard to get your message out there and learn on the job. It is located in a small 2 office warehouse in Daytona Beach. Just google map the address and you will see for yourself. You are not permitted to use any of their trademark logo’s and they will sell this “opportunity” to anyone who is willing to pony up even if they are in the next town. I have been called on several occasions by prospective buyers that where a bit nervous and close to me.
Got a real song and a dance from the sales guy at the Franchise show. His personal claims were very interesting and after some research turned out to be bs.
I think I have a good idea who Big Daddy is,,,LOL

Thomas,,,you are not alone my friend.

  • I AM THINKING OF GETTING INVOLVED WITH THIS COMPANY NOW I AM WONDERING YES OR NO. MYSELF BEING IN THE CONCRETE RESURFACING BUSINESS IT TAKES A LOT OF WORK PHYSICALLY AND MARKETING TRYING TO CONVINCE FUTURE CUSTOMERS THE PRODUCT WILL LAST. THE PROBLEM IS BAD INSTALLERS SO IS IT THE COMPANY , THE PRODUCT OR THE INSTALLERS. WHY DO YOU SAY IT IS HARD TO SELL? NOBODY IS GOING TO BE KNOCKING ON THE DOOR FOR IT, SO HOW HARD ARE YOU PEOPLE TRYING? IT SEEMS SOMEBODY IS NOT TELLING THE REAL DEAL. SO IF SOMEBODY CAN HELP ME MAKE UP MY MIND AND BE HONEST WITH ME A LITTLE HARD WORK IS NOTHING`

  • Bee Careful

    Lewis.

Its just like I said. The biggest problem is the bs that is potentially perpetrated by the salesman at the franchise show you attended.

    Here is might immediate advice,
If you can go see them in Daytona personally, do so prior to writing your check:
    1) Research very strongly the PosiGrip/CeilTech name in your area as to make sure that you have some workable territory that somebody else isn’t either working or screwing up.
    2) Understand that your training will be weak.
    3) Understand that a stack of mailing postcards and some labels is their marketing “help”.
    4) Understand that you will not be able to use their name or image in any web-based marketing. That is a big deal if you really think about it.
    5) Google image their facility if you can’t go their so you know exactly what your dealing with.
    6) Understand that their claims of marketing support at trade shows and the like will not happen.
The products work. I have applied it and sold it in my area and it is doing what I needed it to do which is be an addition of services of one of my 3 companies. I have little complaint about that but the salesman at the show is just that, a salesman and he is going to tell you some serious nonsense.
You own your own biz now so you know what is real and what is garbage. We both know you have to get up and work no matter what you are doing especially in this economy but it pisses me off that miss-representations are made concerning the “support”.
That is where they fall very short.
To sum it up, they sell chemicals with instructions on how to use them.
    Hope that helps

  • Thanks bee careful I will due my homework. I found this company on line and talk to person name Jim he never mentioned not using there name in advertising with my company name that could be a problem how they backing you up? I take business very serious I’m here to make money and leave a great impression on my customers that they got what they paid for a great job.

  • Rochelle

I don’t know why I didn’t see this before we bought “into” this company. I have $15k worth of their stuff in my garage and house now. We researched and found not much on Ceil-Tech, but didn’t see the info on PG. To Bee Careful, can you give us any insight into how you go about marketing this on your own? I pretty much had a feeling that we would have to do a TON of legwork by ourselves, and really wasn’t surprised by the “whole in the wall” office (which it REALLY is). However, we were really hoping these products would help us get a decent business going.

As for the training, we were there for about 6 hours. Half of that was on Ceil-Tech and half was on PosiGrip.

I’m sad to even share this finding with my husband as he was so hoping this would be a great thing for us. Any advice on how to make a real go of it will be greatly beneficial. Thanks so much in advance! We have yet to get our business up and running and there are more fees to pay for that. We need to be able to pay for our initial investment at least. UGH.

  • Bee Careful

    Hi Rochelle,

I would be happy too. I will need an email address that directly contacts you.

    Regards

  • Rocki

No problem. I have a gmail account you can send to. It’s rockisjunkmail with the at gmail dot com at the end. Hopefully this will come through. I’m not sure what the rules are for posting emails and such. Thank you SO much! Also, where are you located? We are in FL.

  • Bee Careful

    Hey Rocki.

I dropped you an email. Please let me know that you received it.

  • Rochelle

    Thanks. Got it.

  • Hey bee careful,
I’m a young entrepreneur, found posi grip online. Couple questions if you can answer. I seen this business as a good idea because I have a few potential customers and have good experience marketing any type of product.
1.) how does the service sell and what are the prices?
2.) what are (if any) the competitors in the market. (Midwest, Michigan)

  • Mike Huggins

I am thinking about buying into Posigrip, if bee careful or anyone else can help me make up my mind I could use the help. [redacted]

  • Rochelle

Eli..would love to try and answer questions.. My email is up there under Nov 30. [redacted]

  • Marty

Bee Careful, I would be very interested in asking you some questions about Posigrip as well if you wouldnt mind. My email aaddress is [redacted].

[Note: To exchange contact information with another commenter, both must contact unhappyfranchisee[at]gmail.com giving permission. Thanks. ADMIN]

  • Bee careful

I would be happy to help any of you in need. Again, I wont trash the company as the product does work and I have sold the service however, I just don’t like being told that they are high on support (gaining clients) when that is simply not the case. You will be for the most part on your own which is not much different than starting any biz but dont tell me that your going to supply potential accounts and then supply nothing.
I will email the admin giving permission to contact me directly.

  • thanks Bee Careful!

  • Posi Grip is advertising in a very ugly way. They use acid for marble. Totally idiots and scammers. They have not any coating, only ACID. But talk about other campaigns, and they are worth shit. Read their ad:
Safety, let me say it again, Safety, and one more time, Safety is what we are all looking for when we try to find a non slip floor coating that works. The question always comes down to, “What is the best non-slip floor coating available?”

Just Google “non slip flooring solutions” and you’ll see dozens of different companies offering many different solutions. From anti-skid strips to products that actually claim to etch little suction cups onto the surface of a floor, you’ll find dozens of products all claiming to be the “Best Non Slip Floor Coating Solution.”

  • Warning:
If someone uses the words in the instructions (rinse by water), it means that it is acid. Be careful what you buy. People for the profit they lay!
Never ever do not use Acid on marble floor!!!

  • Etching is not Coating!
    Why you’re lying people?
    Hello PosiGrip – SCAM!

  • hi there
i am in south africa. I was wandering if anyone has heard of the same concept…but called intellatread.

  • Coating

Intellatread is not known in the USA. I would stay away from these small companies with 1-2 locations. Its probably a one man show. As far as the product performing I would have no idea. You might ask around with their competitors to find out more information.

  • Deepika

I am totally confused. Please guide me someone. I should go for it or not??
    Pls help me..

  • Coatings

Sure if you feel like its a good fit for you. This business can be very lucrative if done correctly and you have some alternative products for the number of other floors out there. You might want to talk with some potential customers in your area as well. Best of luck!

  • Young JR

Hello, ADMIN we will very much appreciate it if you allowed Bee Careful to share her e-mail.
Has anyone comments regarding Sure Step¿?
    Thanks

  • Cole Jagger

I recently bought a system and it was a total rip off, the person who took my $35,000 was Mario Signorelli and I am here to get the word out. I am currently working on a class action lawsuit to bring this guy down and try to get my money back. So far we have 12 people that have had similar dealings and are part of the lawsuit.

  • ferdi

    sorry have n
ot looked at the answers sent….so thank you for doing that…i was told that IntellaproTechnologies wa the main company in USA. But clearly have not heard of them. The product intellatread does work on certain tiles but the profit margins as said by them is not close to what is achieved..plse contact me on [redacted] with any news on intellapro or otherservices i can offer my clients……y

  • Posigrip is a fantastic product. A client of mine has encountered health issues and is no longer able to work. He has over 100 cases of the Posigrip product that he is needing to sell. He is willing to entertain your offer. So if you could use 100 case, get intouch with me. No reasonable offer will be refused.

  • I heard of Intellatread and the company went from the USA and is now exiled in another country near Zimbabwe.
As the record shows they were involved in a scheme that stuck the guys that were making the products for them. This was a very very weak all the way around company. As I recall Intellatread crawled into a hole, and probably the one they originally came out of LOL.
If they had any sense they should listen to their wives because they only stick their heads out during times like these where they think for a moment they have a chance. Buyer Beware Intellatread. The name itself is a contradiction.

  • Bee Carefull

    Hey guys.

Been a while so I thought I would pop in. $35,000 Cole???? Man oh man I hope not. I will say that the products that I purchased do work but the services are much more difficult to sell than advertised. They hook you with the whole “we send you work” stuff. Again, that will not be happening.
If you own a successful tile or commercial cleaning company and want to add to your services, their products might be for you. Check your area first and make sure there is not a dealer!!
One other very important thing to consider is these products DO have a shelf life. The ceil-tech product will evaporate in its bottles over time especially when it gets warm.
    Just my 2 cents.

  • Ben a boy

    Hi,

I really need help. There is no company in my area that offer this type of service. I have my money ready to invest but I really don’t want to lose. I’ve been wanting to go with slip doctors. I can do my own marketing and advertising. I can do what ever it takes for me to make money. What I don’t want is to get ( SCREWED). Can someone help me decide. DOES THE PRODUCTS WORK?

  • Coatings

Yes the products work. I have seen they should last 2-5 years. Like any business it can be tough especially if you are not driven or do not have time in your schedule. There have been several new ANSI/astm standards you might want to read up on. If you want to do this and think it will work then give it a shot. I just wouldn’t spend $35k on a new opportunity. Best of luck and keep us updated.

  • I am a distributor of the former PosiGrip products. There was apparent fraud perpetrated by one of the former owners of the Ceiltech company, Mario Signorelli, and the name of the company in Daytona Beach Florida was changed to Nanoconcepts. The Posigrip product is a viable product and the other products do work as described. Training was a little weak, but there is really not much to it. It involves testing the surface to be treated with a slip meter, cleaning the surface to be treated, micro-etching, retesting for desired traction level, neutralizing the compound, and rinsing. Success in the business amounts to a willingness to market heavily (something every business owner must do), and then delivering on the service. The process is straightforward — I can treat a 500 sq. ft. ceramic tile floor in about 4 hours. My net profit is about $350 for 4 hours work on a typical floor. There is no prohibition from marketing other products as well. If you are squeamish about door-to-door selling, then this is not the job for you. I am not ecstatic about the company, but I’ve made money with their products and have not had a dissatisfied customer.
If you are interested in starting this business, I suggest you talk to Nano-Concepts rather than PosiGrip. I have never had a problem with the people in Florida. When i signed on to the business they were honest and upfront about everything, I read their paperwork carefully, I took a trip to Florida to meet them and see their facility (and received some training), was reimbursed $450 for my travel and hotel expenses, and have had no problems with the product. This is not the business for everybody, but it can be a good business if you are diligent and enjoy it. And no, I don’t work for PosiGrip or Nan-Concepts. I have a small commercial real estate practice and do this on the side.

  • hello everyone. please i was thinking of franchising with either SURE STEP OR SLIP DOCTOR. i have contacted both surestep is asking for $163,000 for master distributorship in west africa. what am asking for is information as regards trusting this venture
    thank you

  • mark sheely

bought into this scam about a year ago ,and was totally ripped off. our vist to
there headquarters in Daytona turned out to be a hole in the wall outfit . the training was so unprofessional and lasted about 30 minutes . we were informed
by the trainer that Mario had embezzled much of the companies money and took
off. I new that morning I was in big trouble. there was no further contact from anyone from posi grip afterwards ,no clients or jobs ,support, and as for the contract,15 jobs to get the business going never happened. They shortly changed there company name to nano concepts ,and when I called Charlie ,he would not even return my call, but received a e-mail stating that I would have to sue Mario.
there franchise or dealership was a total scam, ripped off, and I lost all my money
please be aware that they are operating under a new name ,but the company
is the same. I tried to go out and sell the product to the list of vendors that they
stated are using posi grip and not one recognized the name or do business with
posigrip. please be AWARE if doing any business with them.

  • Charlie

I wanted to make the community aware that many of the postings here are the work of Mario Signorelli. He has used the alias’s big daddy, bi daddy, coating, igor, and mark sheely when posting on this forum.
Signorelli operates the website for posigrip, even though the company itself has been disolved. For full details I recommend going to mariosignorellireport dotcom. Signorelli became an internet troll to besmirch competitors and hype his business as a marketing technique.

  • mark sheely

don’t believe a word of the November 19 comments from Charlie ,one of the owner’s of the scam posi grip, now called nano grip . I am mark sheely ,one prospect that got sucked into the deal by lies and corrupt people down in Daytona
beach. any one that would like the truth of matter, [redacted]
beware or you will loose all your investment as I did. mark

  • surf crab

Can someone “pleeeaaase” tell me who is a better investment sure step or slip doctors in one sentence. I dont need a word uttered about posi grip. I do notice slip doctors is atop of page inquiring about these companies with no other companies even trying to debate them and their comparisons.

  • I am also thinking about investing into Sure Step…Any advise?

@surfcrab what did you decide to do?

  • slip and fall fixer

I was deciding between Slip Doctors and Sure Step. Forget Posi-Grip what a joke of a company…and they really no longer exist. I ended up going with Slip Doctors for several reasons. They seemed honest on the phone and told me they would give me a full day (9pm-5pm) of training along with a training manual. They also would help me telemarketing for the first 2 months and would create business cards and flyers. I have just started up and will give you an update in the upcoming months!

  • Hi everyone,

If you have to buy any of these guys “distributorship”, “franchise” or “outlet” you are throwing good money away and wasting your time. I discovered that the owners will resell the patch from under you with-in the year. That is how they make their money. There is one outfit (Intella..) that serves both sides of the anti-slip business. You will find that you are quoting against another guy who they also sold a (possi…) “patch to”. LOL.

The products from them all are a joke. It does not work on half the tiles. Do not use it on Marble or Granite or any “polished” surface as it will remove the polish and expose the tile body to dirt and water.

In many years in the flooring business I have had phone calls from people who purchased “patches” and have gone bust or are being sued to have the tiles / flooring replaced. Igor, Ferdi, and others, howzit going? The marketing did not make a difference did it? 40 quotes to land a shower !

Build your business from the ground up. As soon as ANYONE demands “fees” or a “take-off” agreements (hey 3xM ) – Bee Warned…! They are and It IS A SCAM !

  • Bruce Bacchiocchi

I as well have been deciding on either slip doctors or sure step.It seems like slip doctors are a bit more transparent as a company. I have tried to research both but theres not much though it seems sure step had some issues yrs ago. See slip and fall fixer posted a recent start and slipped up says stay away. I had been in the fast food industry so i know slips and falls are a huge concern therefore my belief is that this could be a profitable business.I live in the NY/ NJ area and ive been looking to start my own business. Would hate to lose ANY money as slip dr’s is about 10k which includes training at their site in Texas. Sure Step 25k. Includes a trainer to come to me for 3-4 days which they suggested i have leads waiting so he could accompany. Plus enough product to generate 80k in sales.
im not afraid to market and know i will get A LOT of rejection but any advice would be welcomed. This would be my sole income.

  • Hot Box 22

    Bruce-

I would validate anything promised from Sure Step. The “leads or jobs” waiting for you are probably not very accurate. I would question this. I have read similar posts with many false promises. This is a great business but it is probably important to align yourself with someone you trust. Slip and Falls are a huge problem and most industries. I think SS is in Canada? If so, they are subjected to import, duties and taxes. I say go with your gut on this.

    Good evening,

I will make this very short and straight to the point. It sounds to me that there is a whole lot of pointing the finger at Posi Grip. All these so called distributors/operators that can’t seem to get any backing from the company.
Have you guys ever thought about getting off your behind and going and getting the business. The product will sell itself, you just have to get it in front of the right people.
If you’re not prepared to do the leg work……why would you even think about getting in to a business like that?
I am currently becoming an operator with Posi Grip and when I make my first $100,000 by making the right calls on the right people in the right industry….I’ll let you all know okay.

  • I entertained getting into the slip proofing business some 15 years ago after receiving some severance money from an employer. Contacted a few companies that provided products and dealerships; then contacted a few of those folks who had purchased the products and dealerships. That is, I performed some due diligence. I did not purchase any products or dealership because I did not know the business. You need to know the floor business, safety business, some kind of business related to slip proofing floors because you will need customers and contacts. I used the samples provided to me by the product and dealership sellers. Did what it was advertised to do. I’d rather slip proof a tub than have a bacteria-growing mat. What you must realize is that the slip-proof solution for a bathtub or tile floor is 2% solution hydrochloric acid. Had someone tell me that it was dangerous substance and that I should wear protective clothing, glasses, masks, etc when using. Don’t see any product seller mentioning this. Nevertheless, realize that their active ingredient can be purchased at a pool supply house (muriatic acid) or Lowe’s, for example (7.89 per gallon). That is, the real rip-off is the product itself. You can buy it cheaply and make your own label. Point is, if you want to get into the slip-proofing business, make your own product and leverage your existing customer base. Making a living on your own is hard enough. You need not make it harder by inviting scammers into it.

I have tried the hcl purchase from hd and it did not improve the traction on my tiles. It does appear hcl is one of many active ingredients but obviously not the main factor to slip proofing. Osha is starting to require this by the end of the year so I am going to get into this new safety business before anyone else in my area does before me. We are excited for this new venture and I already have some proposals to local facilities. This business is real, the product works and the demand is huge. Best to luck to all. Pm me with questions.
