Bullies don’t always win. In fact, bullies win less often than you’d think. In my experience (and opinion) bullies like Amanda Gingold & DonutNV Franchising Inc. are cowards terrified of the truth being revealed. Rather than own up to their mistakes, address the problems they created, make amends to those they’ve wronged and vow to do better in the future, Ms. Gingold clings to the belief that her three law firms, legal threats, litigation, arbitration, cease and desist orders and NDAs can create enough fear and cause enough pain to hide the personal, financial and family devastation and distress she’s already created. It can’t, in my opinion. And it won’t. by Sean Kelly, Founder, Franchise Truth for Veterans, Truth for All Initiative
(UnhappyFranchisee.Com) When a bully who has dominated the schoolyard unchallenged gets slapped in the face, their facial expression is a mix of confusion, disbelief and… fear.
It’s as if it had never occurred to them that one day someone might fight back.
Amanda Gingold must have felt that slap in the face last week after a coalition of 20+ DonutNV franchisees demanded to be heard via mediation.
Rather than respectfully meet with those whose investments built the DonutNV brand – many whom have life experiences, education, accomplishments, life and business experience far exceeding hers – she and her attorney, Travis Tarpeh of Gross Law Group, reportedly refused, at the last minute, to attend the scheduled mediation.
[Even a $5 donation provides much, much-appreciated moral support. $25 is even better as is a few hundred to pay down some legal outstanding expenses incurred helping others. Donations are confidential and can be made at Unhappy Franchisee or Go Fund Me. No trips to Baha Mar… I promise! Thanks!]
DonutNV founders Amanda and Alex Gingold reportedly flew off to their home-away-from-home, the Chinese-owned Baha Mar resort in the Bahamas.
DonutNV coalition franchisees were angry and disgusted, but initially agreed to Gross Law’s request that they reschedule for three weeks.
Then the termination notices started landing like scud missiles.
One termination landed on a senior citizen couple who had invested their retirement into the physically taxing donut franchise, and done all they could to make their business work..
Another termination missile landed on a military couple who had served at the ranks of Captain and Major in the U.S. Air Force and NAVY, respectively. Between them, they have nearly 40 years of military service.
Another termination notice landed on a couple in Missouri who were beloved for their dedication to their community and had raised thousands of dollars for local schools and charities.
The Gingolds were true to their established pattern: Indulge in the luxury lifestyle they truly believe they deserve and instruct their strike force of mercenary attorneys to attack and bully the hardworking people who made the mistake of trusting them.
However, if Amanda Gingold thought selective bullying and intimidation would fragment the group, she was wrong.
I don’t know this for sure, but I’m sensing a disturbance in the Force that indicates she hardened and galvanized the group’s resolve.
The DonutNV franchisee coalition abandoned their hope of a reasonable mediation, and filed a demand for binding arbitration.
Since I can’t find a source for one of my favorite quotes, I shall hereby appropriate it:
It’s not how often they shoot themselves in the foot that amazes me.
It’s how fast they reload.

Let’s lighten things up a bit…
When your life and career go on hold because of meritless litigation by liars and bullies, it’s important to find a positive outlet for your energy and creativity. I have Amanda Gingold and her squadrons of flying attack-monkeys to thank for sparking a personal renaissance of parody videos such as DonutNDA (above), Mikey’s Peppy Peptides and I Fell for a Franchise Broker (and Now Ain’t Nobody Broker than Me).
Please help me achieve my dream of going viral (without peptides) by watching, sharing and posting.
