Home Franchise Concepts’ Concrete Craft Has Disappeared. What Happened?
A franchise that targets Veterans with its recession-proof concrete business has vanished without a public notification or explanation from parent JM Family Enterprises or Home Franchise Concepts (HFC). Despite what may be a systemic collapse, despite lapsed state franchise registrations and possible premature exits for 80+ franchise investors, HFC, the IFA, Vetfran, Entrepreneur and IFPG franchise brokers continue to promote Concrete Craft as a Veteran-friendly investment. by Sean Kelly, Founder, Franchise Truth for Veterans Initiative

(UnhappyFranchisee.Com) If JM Family Enterprises (founded by automotive industry pioneer Jim Moran) and Home Franchise Concepts (HFC) were hoping no one would notice that an entire franchise chain and dozens of franchisees suddenly and mysteriously disappeared off the face of the earth, they were mistaken.
Since sounding the alarm in 2024 about HFC’s recruitment of Veterans for high-turnover franchise investments, I periodically check the location list on the Concrete Craft website.
I recently discovered the Concrete Craft list contains ZERO franchise locations.
What Happened to Concrete Craft’s Franchisees?
In 2022, Concrete Craft had 85 franchises.
The number had fallen to 80 franchises at the start and 77 franchises at the end of 2023.
When I issued my concerns about the turnover rates of the Veteran-targeting HFC franchises in 2024, Concrete Craft was in sharp decline:
Public Audit: Home Franchise Concepts (HFC) Veterans Franchise Program
JM Family Enterprises, Home Franchise Concepts (HFC), and Concrete Craft declined to respond at that time.
The last publicy available Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) is dated March 20, 2024 and discloses unit information through the end of 2023.
Archived records of the Concrete Craft website indicates that by January, 2025, there were just 35 franchises operating.
By January, 2026, the website showed only 3 Concrete Craft franchise locations remaining (Southern Raleigh, NC, Knoxville/Louisville, TN, & Sandy, UT).
The Closure of an Entire Chain Appears to be a Footnote in HFC’s Financial Statements
There have been no public announcements from JM Family Enterprises, HFC, or Concrete Craft over the disappearance of its franchise locations.
In fact, on April 13, 2026, HFC issued a press release celebrating its 20th anniversary and explicitly listed Concrete Craft as one of its core brands alongside Budget Blinds and Kitchen Tune-Up.
Buried deep in HFC’s financial statements disclosed in Bath Tune-Up and Kitchen Tune-Up FDDs dated February 20, 2026 is the disclosure that only 3 Concrete Craft franchises were operating at the beginning of the year.
Without naming Concrete Craft, the financial disclosures state:
During 2025, the Company, in partnership with certain franchisees of a small brand, began closing locations due to strategic considerations. These closures did not have a material impact on the Company’s financial position, results of operations, or cash flows.
The Company evaluated these actions for impairment indicators and recorded immaterial impairments related to certain finite-lived intangible assets, see Note 8 – Intangible Assets, Net for more details.Note 8 – Intangible Assets, the Company wrote-off $70,000 of Franchise agreements and
$220,000 of Technology for the small brand that had location closures, and recorded related
impairment expense of $47,250…
[On a side note, I’m sure that the hundreds of former Concrete Craft franchisees that came and went since 2015 will be relieved that their business outcomes had no material impairment or negative impact on HFC’s financial position].

Are Concrete Craft Franchisees Free to Share Their Experiences? Or Are They Gagged?
When an entire population of franchisees goes missing and the franchisor declines to file an updated franchise registration, one might think that this would be material information and a required disclosure in EVERY Franchise Disclosure Document for EVERY Home Franchise Concepts (HFC) franchise opportunity, including:
- AdvantaClean
- Aussie Pet Mobile
- Bath Tune-Up
- Budget Blinds
- Concrete Craft
- Kitchen Tune-Up
