• I agree Tommy no room for bad dm's or trainers.

  One time I was riding with a new distributor and we went into a dealership. One of the techs looked at me and said, "oh you are awake today". I looked at the distributor and asked him what he was talking about. He told me the trainer fell asleep in the truck last week. I asked him why he didn't say anything, he said he didn't want to get the guy in trouble. Well guess what, that was a Friday and Monday the guy was an ex trainer for Matco, so yes the bad have to go, but people also need to say when they are bad

• HE MUST BE TALKING ABOUT MARIO, HE DONE THE SAME WITH ME.

• Exactly junior. My route had no matco representation for over 10 years and look what I've made it.

• FYI Marks & Klein filed a lawsuit today against Mac Tools, claiming that their distributorships are actually franchises.

  Is MAC TOOLS Stanley Black & Decker Selling Illegal Franchises?

  I will post the actual complaint soon. In the suit, much is made of the fact that much work is required (warranty work, repos, etc.) for no compensation.

• Junior, mike told me you were posting here in support of us. First thank you and we wish you were still the dm. Keep the fight alive and what's with the training department guy. I learned way more from you then Tracy a guy that was never on a tool truck. And I will post when I can here. The debbys and tommy's failed. And can't live with that. Some of the others I just don't know the stories sound good but my route sucked and look what you and I built. Call me sometime. My number is the same.

  Junior – Yes they are. And they do a great job. Tom, I said I’d take Glenn above them because of my personal experience with him. Not because something wrong with any of them. I stated a fact, if you ask a DM or a trainer about one another you’ll get an earful, that simple. Matt being a Marine or Glenn being late night dancer has nothing to do with how I feel about them.

  Tom – “I truely believe that if I had followed there instruction I’d have had a better shot than with “Glenn’s way”.

  Junior – So you didn’t trust the “best business practices” from the training department that you so love?

  Tom – “They problem is that the training staff and the DM’s aren’t on the same page.”

  Junior – At times it would seem so, but for the most part they are on the same page.

  Tom – “…Then you get out to the truck and have your DM tell you “who you gonna listen to? A bunch of guys in Stow or me?””

  Junior - I am having trouble believing Glenn would ever say this. If he did it might have been because the two of you were not connecting. I wasn’t there so…

  Tom – “If I remember, Matt was a Marine. To me that right there says INTEGRITY! Something DM’s lack!”

  Junior – And you know me how Tom? You’re making an argument about something that was never questioned. No one said ANYTHING about integrity. Wake up.

  Tom – “When I had to call in for insructions on returning shipment they were genuinly let down that I was giving up. Next they wondered why my DM was NOT there helpinh me, as it was part of his job.”

  Junior – So Matt, Tracy, and Larry came over and help?

  Tom – “… do NOT exist” and I “was a fxxxing piece of shxt liar” and “that is why I failed at selling tools”! “

  Junior – Are you kidding me? Are you saying the RM spoke to you this way or the DM? This IS a stretch Tom. A big stretch.

  Tom – “As I suggested to Tracy in my “exit interview”, which I had to REQUEST …”

  Junior – Tracy doesn’t hold exit interviews. That’s the role of the personnel manager. An RM can do at his direction but Tracy?

  Tom – “The DM’s and RM’s all have a “God complex”! “

  Junior – Wow. Tom this post did you no justice. There are 70+ DM’s and your general statement about ALL is misguided rhetoric. You knew one DM, not all DM’s. How can I take you seriously if you make statements like Tommy does. Really man, wake up.

  AS far as "following what I was taught". YES I tried! BUT Lord V faught me EVERY step of the way! See above sentence. What was I supposed to do? This was the guy that was SUPPOSED to be helping me! Disagree right from the start and tell him I know better? I tried to tell him what Stow said and got the "who ya gonna listen to" statement.

  WAsn't arguing integrity. I just said they HAD integrity. Wake up!

  No, you arrogant smartxx, they did not come over. BUT NEITHER did Glenn. AS in true DM fashion you missed the point! BUT customer service was VERY helpful and walked me thru all of it.

  Of course you don't believe an RM would speak that way, they should NOT! I can tell you EXACTLY where I was when I got that call from him. My wife was right there listening to him. You're right, we BOTH heard him wrong. I won't even go into the things he said to my wife! SO it is NOT a strech, it is a FACT!!!!!!

  And YES Tracy DID do my exit interview! YOu were NOT there! I had to BEG for exit interview. Hell no Glenn or RM wasn't going to give me one! They KNEW what I would say! More of "cover their ass"!

  This post did me NO injustice! IT only exposed what you are trying desperately to claim does NOT happen.

  So hotshot, give Stow a call and ask to see my "file" Think I'm lying? EVERYTHING I have stated on her WAS DOCUMENTED FACT! Facts are what you are looking for right? And if they can't help you, maybe when Jerry is done with them he can release the FACTS and details in my case against them. That by the way I WON!

  This is problem you guys have. I have NEVER doubted anyones sucess, good stories or bad stories. I think both have happened. I am not copming one here ranting and raving that all the sucessful guys are liars. But funny that ALL the sucessful guys hop on here and have no issue calling us, that experienced something other that what you did, a buch of lazy liars.

  Really Junior, wake up! Your post aren't doing you any justice.

• thanks tom, you made some really good comments. i see alot of what we did posted here. what some people dont understand is the fact that some were thrown under the bus and others werent. thats a fact.
  there was no dm in my area when i first started for almost 18 months, where was the help i needed most at the time i needed it most. the dm that rode with me was from another district and spent more time on the phone running his business than helping me. he is no longer with matco. john miller, anybody know him. he claimed to not even know how to do broken tools.
  then the dm that we got came from mac. i had actually spoke with him prior to signing with matco when he was a mac dm.. heard alot of bad about him but never believed any of it till he proved it himself. he just got a new dbr in about 6 months ago. the guy was wondering how to send back some of his initial inventory. the dm told him to call me because he didnt know and that i had the most experience there. hello.
  im happy for all the ones that made it all good but dont put down the ones that havent because you dont believe what is said here. i have alot of proof on how i was done and im not putting it here. this is not the place to debate it or to show my hand before i play it.
  all you nay sayers need to go find another playground to play on, you dont belong here. when the fight is over and the dust settles then yall can kma. then you can say , well damn they were right.

• No Tom what junior is trying to say is you cannot and should not classify all dms and rms the same. What he was saying is that that is not the way either are trained or told to act. You have every right to state your feelings about your experience, but one experience cannot form an opinion that applies to everyone or everything.
