DonutNV Franchise Owners John & Dana Owens, Ocala, FL, Not Disclosed

In a video interview Franchise Sidekick celebrates their clients, John & Dana Owens, becoming DonutNV franchisees for Ocala, FL. John Owens says that DonutNV seemed to be the perfect vehicle for the Owens’ family business. They were signed up and months away from launch. But the DonutNV website shows no franchise in Ocala, FL. Neither the 2023 or 2024 make mention of the Owens as current or past franchise owners. Franchisors are required to disclose all franchisees and their outcomes. Although Franchise Sidekick “clients” John & Dana Owens signed a DonutNV franchise agreement for the Ocala, FL franchise, they aren’t disclosed in the DonutNV Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). It’s one more of several DonutNV disclosure mysteries, along with the missing information regarding:

Building a Family Business: DonutNV Franchisee Testimonial John Owens

On August 30, 2023, Franchise Sidekick posted this video featuring advisor TuRhonda Freeman’s interview with her “client,” DonutNV franchisee John Owens.

In the interview, an enthusiastic John Owens stated that he, his wife Dana and his kids would be launching their DonutNV franchise within months (late 2023?).

The 2024 DonutNV Franchise Disclosure Document (issued April 31, 2024) and its subsequent amended state filings contain no mention franchisees John & Dana Owens.

The DonutNV website lists no active franchise location for Ocala, FL.

What Happened to the Ocala Florida DonutNV Franchise? Did John & Dana Owens Lose Some or All of Their Investment?

There is no disclosure in the current FDD of the Owens signing a franchise agreement, nor whether they transferred their franchise to a different owner, had it reacquired by the franchisor or opened then ceased operation.

The Florida Department of State Division of Corporations records reveal an LLC registered to a John & Dana Owens in Ocala, FL that was registered 6/1/2023 and administratively dissolved 09/27/2024:
