Will Disclaimers Protect DonutNV Franchisee Michael Malagon’s Peptide Sales Scheme?

One day after watchdog website Unhappy Franchisee revealed that DonutNV franchisee Mike Malagon was openly promoting and selling drugs not approved for human use on the same page he promotes his mobile mini-donut business to Lee County Florida school kids, his Ryder Research Supply and Mike’s Pep Talk sites have been modified – but are still up and running.  Here are screen shots documenting Malagon’s promotion of peptides.  by Sean Kelly

(UnhappyFranchisee.Com)   Coming soon:  Are There Dangers to Getting Medical Advice & Controlled Substances From a Donut Trailer Operator?  Even One with a Degree From Donut University?

You can’t say DonutNV Fort Myers franchise owner Michael Malagon lacks ambition!

Mike and his wife Hayley operate three DonutNV mini-donut trailers that can be seen parked at Lee County, Florida schools, sports and civic events.

In between taking mini-donut and lemonade orders from students and teachers at Lee County Schools, Mike is likely on his phone or laptop helping to meet the need for the treatment of such health afflictions as obesity, anxiety, tissue and wound repair, and even hypoactive sexual desire disorder.

Although Mike Malagon’s degree is from DonutNV Donut University (which does not currently offer a medical degree program), he provides guidance, information and unapproved drugs (cheerily called peptides) through his Ryder Research Supply and Mike’s Pep Talk websites.

Mike’s Ryder Research Supply business offer six products in a variety of dosages:

  • Retatrutide (10mg) (Weight loss)  $115.00 – $279.00
  • Semaglutide (10mg)  $110.00  (Weight reduction)
  • Tirzepatide (10mg)  (Weight management) $70.00 – $225.00
  • BPC-157  (Healing)  $65.00
  • CJC / IPA 5mg/5mg  (Growth Hormone)  $65.00
  • PT-141  (Sexual Health)   $50.00

Factors That May Negate “Research Purposes Only” Peptide Disclaimers #1:  Health Claims

Michael Malagon liberally uses the “Research Purposes Only” disclaimer on his Facebook page, Ryder Research Supply and Mike’s Pep Talk websites.  However, he has also made health and weight loss claims about his own weight loss as well as the individuals in his peptide group (who he claims lost 500 lbs between them in a short amount of time.)

#2:   Dosing Instructions May Negate Peptide Disclaimers

Both Malagon’s Ryder Research Supply website and Mike’s Pep Talk displayed dosing instructions which may negate his “research only” claims.

#3  Bundling Peptides with Bacteriostatic Water or Syringes May Undo Disclaimer Protections

#4  Oversharing May Pierce Attempts at Anonymity

Ryder Research LLC is registered in Wyoming, a state known for limited corporate disclosure.  Domain registrations for RyderResearch.Co and MikesPepTalk.com are registered by proxy to hide ownership.  Neither site includes easily identifiable ownership.  However, the DonutNV franchisee for Fort Myers, FL openly established himself as owner of the peptide seller Ryder Research Supply and its promotional site Mike’s Pep Talk.

[Incidently, the Food & Drug Administration dedicated page for Reporting Unlawful Sales of Medical Products on the Internet ; Report a tip to the DEA here]

What do you think?  Does Mike Malagon’s Peptide Drug Scheme Pose a Threat to the DonutNV Brand?  Should DonutNV Franchising Inc. Take Action?
